JAPANESE HERITAGE, NEW ERA AND ANIMAL PRINTS
Earlier this year, early summer of 2016 the gigantic ready-to-wear cheap chain H&M revealed that this years it collection would be by Kenzo. Brand style has been beautiful, minimalistic and visually calm, being faithful to the founding designer Kenzo Takada (born in Japan 1939). In 1999 Kenzo presented his last collection and Antonio Marras was appointed as Artistic director.
Recent years Kenzo has rebranded itself and created key pieces that will live through more that few seasons. The image rebranding attracted bloggers, young fashion influencers and pop culture celebrities – Kenzo suddenly became popular, cool and well-known high-end fashion name worldwide. The potential clientele now would be from teenagers to older crowd, and collaboration with H&M is a positive surprise as well as massive publicity boost on top of all the popularity Kenzo has enjoyed so far.
The Creative directors of Kenzo Humberto Leon and Carol Lim are inspired by the street fashion and globally diverse pop culture: this is why collaboration between H&M and Kenzo is a match made in heaven.
Recent collections and completely new stylistic attitude of Kenzo assures us, that the H&M collection will be wild, colourful and loved by bloggers, music influencers, pop culture mediums.
The collection of Kenzo and H&M will be available in 3. November 2016 online and in stores worldwide. History shows that the clothes and accessories sell out completely during the first day – so be ready to tent outside the shop or get your keyboard and WiFi connection ready for some serious speed shopping.
